The lace part can be worn both with the bandeau and on its own as an accent layer or a separate item of clothing. The In the Wings skirt is a reference to the theatre backstage, behind which flexible shadows lurk. In the Wings skirt, the energy of the first few bars is concentrated in it, when the dance is about to break through the darkness of the backstage and reveal itself to the audience.
